We are at a crossroads. We live in a changing world, with changing coastal communities and a changing ocean.

Many are saying a new approach is needed to ensure that Pncima continues to provide healthy seafood, has clean beaches and vibrant coastal communities, maintains stable and profitable fisheries and supports abundant wildlife.

The question is: How can we ensure all of this for present and future generations?

Pncima means an integrated approach to managing the ocean’s ecology and economy and establishing a network of marine protected areas to act as reservoirs for the oceans productivity.
